AT&T has a career opportunity for a Senior Software Developer / Reverse Engineering Software Developer in San Antonio, Texas supporting cyber related activities. The employee will provide technical expertise in developing software solutions and cyber capabilities to meet Federal Government client’s business needs.

  • Support an Agile software development team to rapidly produce operational cyber capabilities for US Air Force customers.

  • Code-base will be developed in various languages and will focus on identifying, modifying, enhancing and supporting integration of non-commercial code bases used to upgrade existing client systems.

  • Be proficient with information security principles such as software vulnerabilities, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, 802.11, etc.), intrusion detection techniques, and malicious software behavior.

  • Develop software programs in a variety of programing languages such as C/C++, Java, or others to satisfy client-provided requirements.

  • Coordinate the activities of junior software developers to meet over-arching client program requirements.

  • Apply proven software development program management techniques to ensure projects are completed on time and address all client requirements; experience with agile software development and scrum techniques desired.

Successful candidates will often work on projects without source code or documentation, you may perform system analysis, reverse engineering and static, dynamic, and concolic testing/analysis on Windows, Android, or UNIX-based platforms. You will have the opportunity to play a critical lead role in developing and analyzing solutions for full scale Computer Network Operations (CNO) as part of a small high performance multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will participate in formal customer presentations and proposals as a technical subject matter expert. You may lead R&D efforts or development teams within larger projects

Successful candidates will have experience or certifications in the following:

  • Experience developing software against pre-determined requirements using a wide range of software languages including: C/C++, Java, Scripting Languages (such as Python, Perl, Javascript, Ruby, and PowerShell) o GO language

  • Experience developing on Linux and Windows operating systems at the user and kernel level

  • Experience integrating software into existing, unrelated frameworks

  • Expert using Linux and Windows command line interfaces

  • Professional technical writing skills

  • Ability to coordinate project status with highly technical stake holders, technical managers and government leaders

  • Tools such as metasponse, metasploit, and Virtualization (VMWare, Virtual Box, Xen, etc)

Required Clearance: Current TS/SCI eligibility. (Must hold or have held a TS/SCI position within the past 48 months.)

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience with 24 AF operational cyber mission.

  • Familiarity with anti-virus suites and able to assess their effectiveness against threats

  • Experience developing on multiple architectures such as PowerPC, x86, x86_64, MIPS, and ARM

  • Other programming languages a plus

  • Experience configuring switches running the Open Network Installation Environment (ONIE) and associated network operating systems include research of Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization technologies

  • Reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, exploit development, and related disciplines
