AT&T Senior Project Manager (Government) in Frederick, Maryland
Senior Technology Manager – Oversee the implementation and use of IT services within our program. The infrastructure consists of a small LANs and WANs with routers, servers, and building specific IT systems.
Responsible for overall strategy of the IT systems, project management,installation, operation and maintenance of all program IT systems.
Oversee the program’s data and data integrity and disaster recoveryprocesses and systems.
Responsible for detailed documentation anddrawings of systems configuration. The successful candidate will beresponsible for efficient and effective operation of the program ITsystems and training users and lower tier maintenance personnel in basicrecovery and system operation. This is a supervisory position withanticipation of one direct report.
Additional primary duties include managing a large and complex dedicated fiber infrastructure.
Will beresponsible for maintaining detailed documentation on the physicallayout and configuration of the existing fiber networks.
Must maintainexcellent working relationships with existing service providers toeffect repairs on the fiber plant as required.
Ensure there are no gapsin maintenance responsibilities and be accountable for ensuringcompliance with corporate standards.
Coordinate new builds as requiredto satisfy program requirements. These duties are anticipated to beabout 30 – 40% of overall job responsibilities.
Must have 5 – 10 years of experience in IT systems andmanagement with hands on ability to configure, install and maintain avariety of standard IT systems.
Candidate must be able to provide atechnology vision and leadership for developing and implementingnetworking and business applications that improve cost effectiveness,service quality and business development in a constantly changingenvironment.
At least 3 years of recent experience with AT&T Fibernetwork maintenance protocols, processes and systems.
Must be able tosuccessfully understand the program fiber infrastructure, create and ormaintain the existing fiber records and configuration processes toensure cost effective service to the program.
Must have the ability towork with service providers to provision new service as needed and planfor the upgrades to maintain critical fiber infrastructure.
The ability to develop and grow skills sets in individuals andteams.
Ability to effectively work with other program stakeholders aspart of a larger management team charged with maintaining criticalsystems and infrastructure for the program.
Customer oriented andmission focused.
Required Clearance: Current Security Clearance desired, ability to obtain a security clearance required
Desired: Advanced Degree in IT Systems and successful experience working with a dedicated project team to accomplish customer objectives.
