Two Sr. Statistical Specialist positions within the Finance Services, Credit & Collections organization, both requiring advanced analytics support:
Primary focus of credit modeling & analysis for Entertainment/DirecTV portfolio
Primary focus of modeling & analysis for Finance Services corporate initiatives within Global Payments, Remittance and Collections
Overall Purpose: A senior position that uses highly advanced skills in the use of predictive modeling, multivariate analysis, clustering/segmentation analysis, data mining, test and control experimentation, trend analysis and other statistical or data analysis techniques to analyze large data files from both internal and external sources to explain or predict behavior and or solve a variety of business problems.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Gathers, analyzes, and interprets a wide variety of data to make predictions on future outcomes or identify differences in relationships amount sources of information. Selects data samples, develops questionnaires, and analyzes collected information according to statistical methods. Develops reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings. Advises business partners with regards to patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes. Builds predictive models using data, tests the model on results outside of the sample size and verifies the model in the real world. Projects may include, testing strategy development for marketing initiatives, supporting product lifecycle decisions, evaluating product utilization, supporting fraud detection, credit modeling, credit analytics, collection analytics, etc.
Job Contribution: Senior level technical expertise. Deep technical knowledge and subject matter expert. Typically reports to a Third Level Manager.
Education: Typically possesses advanced college degree in Statistics and or Computer Science, Business Analyst nanodegree, or related expertise.
Experience: Typically possess strong understanding of internal business segment or stakeholders and strong presentation skills. Typically requires 8 years related experience in relational database structures, research methods, sampling techniques, and system testing. Supervisory: No.
