AT&T Principal-System Engineer - AUTOMATION in Dallas, Texas


This role will be responsible for translating business needs for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology as well as outside the box innovative solutions. End to end ownership of the solution, including system and subsystem design and detailed engineering requirements. Provide ad hoc data engineering support and guidance as needed.


Designs, develops, documents and analyzes detailed architecture of systems, including hardware and software.Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems. Creates user level diagrams and/or data definitions for

Software Engineers, Support Specialists, and the Program Management Office so that they can work with data sets. Maps business requirements to system and functional requirements. Coordinated requirements validation testing.

The ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, from executives who need the big picture to expert peers and RPA Champions that want to learn from your work is key. Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies and security processes.

Strong knowledge of IIS 8, SQL Server 2016, Server 2012R2, VMware, and network security is required.


Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical

Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience.


Typically requires 8-10 years’ IT experience.

Experience with the AT&T Implementation of Robotic Process Automation is preferred.
