AT&T Lead Public Relations Mgr in Dallas, Texas

Overall Purpose: Responsible for managing proactive and reactive communication of the corporate image through researching, writing, editing, and gaining approvals on press releases, blogs, messaging, project execution plans and other related documents in support of AT&T’s Technology Organization and our B2B organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze and confer expertise relating to the proactive and reactive development and execution of tactical Public Relations (PR) plans highlighting AT&T’s leadership in cybersecurity in both our Chief Security office and our Managed Cybersecurity solutions business. Creates content for media, manages content development and strategy for media inquiries, and leads project execution to protect the brand and deliver a compelling and unique story, often on tight deadlines. Guides cross-functional teams in activities such as media announcements, social media, pitch materials, media briefings, messaging and Q&A, awards and presentations. Manages internal client relationships with senior-level executives to understand and drive alignment on corporate strategy and provide consultation on media opportunities. Serves as primary external communications support for senior-level executives.

Education: Bachelors in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Typically 5 - 8 years of experience in a related field

Proven history of providing communications support and consultation to senior-level executives

Operational experience with excellent analytical, Excel and PPT skills

Experience working in cybersecurity, computer science, B2B or tech industry or supporting B2B or tech industry clients

History of supporting multiple client groups or stakeholders on large campaigns or projects
