AT&T WAN Tech Lead (Government) in Charlottesville, Virginia
This position will support AT&T by maintaining the operational posture of our network communications facilities. The candidate will be supervising a team of 4 that supports the readiness, reliability and survivability of our corporate assets on a 24x7x365 basis. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining facility equipment in an effort to support AT&T’s critical network operations. Candidates must maintain proficiency with facility equipment as well as gaining and maintaining certification and proficiency with Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) apparatus and equipment. Work entails 12 hour rotating shift work as well as call-outs and temporary assignments in response to AT&T operational requirements
Experience in leadership and management positions. Must be able to lead a crew of 4 on routine maintenance and daily facility challenges. Experience in hands on facilities maintenance including HVAC, electrical systems, building automation systems and security operations are required. Candidate must possess experience in preventive maintenance practices and a proven ability to troubleshoot facilities maintenance issues. Training is provided for specific duties and equipment.
Desired: Candidate must be comfortable working in a team setting, possess good verbal communication and computer word processing skills and display a track record of high quality work. Previous experience using HAZMAT equipment or performing HAZMAT operations is a plus. Candidate must be able to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance.
