AT&T Sr Web Accessibility Solutions Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia
The Overall responsibility of this position is to ensure all products impacted with accessibility meet regulatory compliance regulations. This position must have a complete understanding of FCC – CVAA accessibility regulations and WAI-WCAG 2.0 standards. Consults with Product Developers, IT Developers, Digital Experience, Sales Operations, IT Development, Requirements and Test Teams. Ensures technical solutions are documented, tested, and implemented. Assignments may include new products and services, changes to existing products and services, as well as customer communications via SMS, Email, or IVR. May work with in house developers or 3 rd party vendors to ensure compliance to either existing or new regulations.
50% - Adherence to Compliance Regulations:
Meets with project owners at the start of each project to identify requirements and translates the requirements into technical solutions. Attends Project Requirements, Product Development, Testing, IT Development meetings for assigned projects. Ensures requirements are documented, design specifications are compliant, and IT development teams have developed the product according to specifications.
25% - Training and Development:
Ensures all the impacted teams listed above are knowledgeable about current accessibility rules and regulations as they relate to the technical solutions. Identifies testing needs, design outcomes, and makes sure the IT developers are aware of product specifications for accessibility. May provide training where gaps in knowledge are identified.
25% - CATO Office & Process Improvement:
Ensures all impacted projects are appropriately monitored, and project or product level certifications are appropriately stored. Works to identify improvements to the overall process and identify gaps and risk in process. Implements change where gaps or risk is identified.
